Will we be in our new studio by Christmas?

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

tgib09_frntA quick new post on our blog about our new “green” studio. As the first of it’s kind in the Turks and Caicos, we are quite proud that we are leading the way and helping to spread the word about green build materials, techniques and methods.  Click Here.

It’s also going to give us the best facility, showroom, office space and studio in the islands and really allow us to take our work and services to a whole new level. Can you tell we are excited !

nelson-065f1vfirstThat is where Eric and Shalah are from, and according to their last email, with snow on the ground already. Well not last week when the two of them came to the Turks and Caicos to get married in front of Bay Bistro on the beach. And what a dress!! It was the first one she saw in a store back home and fell in love with it right away. For sure this dress was to be hers, it was made for her. I loved photographing such a colorful dress, a change from the traditional white gown. (more…)

Aimee and Craig’s wedding day.

Monday, October 19th, 2009

paterra-084firstLast week Aimee and Craig said yes to each other in the gorgeous Amanyara Resort here in the Turks and Caicos Islands. They walked right out of their villa on the ocean, to the spot they selected for their ceremony. What a view!

It rained earlier in the afternoon but at the time of the ceremony…nothing but sunshine for this great couple. The sunset…..well I can’t put that into words, you just have to be the judge of that yourself.

Day after the wedding photo shoot – behind the scenes.

Saturday, October 17th, 2009

Hinz_frntFor our regular readers of the blog, you will know that we recently posted a story about a cool couple Corey and Glen who were married a couple of weeks ago at the Gansevoort Hotel and then the following day did an awesome shoot with us around the island. Well Preston came along on the shoot and captured a few moments as we did the session. A sort of behind the scenes feel that we hope gives you clear idea of how much fun these types of things can be AND how great these movies are in keeping things “VIVID” and why we believe it’s always got to be stills and a movie, not just stills anymore.

Updates to our shopping cart system

Thursday, October 15th, 2009

shopping-cartNext time you go to use our online photo shopping cart system at www.tropicalimaging.com/redcart/, you’ll see a difference – the system will ask you for your email address as well as the event code for the gallery that you want to access.

Why’s this? Well, in the past, if you logged on from one computer (for example at home) and started selecting photos, you were only able to go back and see and update those selections from that same computer – if you logged on from a laptop or from a computer at work you couldn’t see the contents of the shopping cart or your album selection.

With the new update we’ve now installed, your choices are linked to your email address – so as long as you log in to our RedCart system using the same email address, you can update your choices from anywhere, using any computer you like. Much more flexible!

Please note: we will only use your email address for the purpose of fulfilling your orders for prints or albums – so don’t worry, you will not be added to any automatic mailing lists or receive junk emails from us!

netherofrntA couple of years ago we helped the Nethero family with a family photo shoot and so when they decided to come down to the Turks and Caicos this weekend it was great that they wanted to repeat the experience. This wasn’t a big “production”, they just wanted a few simple moments and so we did just that !

Simple, easy, quick fun!

The wedding of Anne & Byron Fields at The Regent Palms

Saturday, October 10th, 2009

Fields_213smallAnne and Byron are one of the happiest couples I have ever met. After our first meeting before their wedding day I knew this was going to be a great wedding to capture.

For their special wedding day Anne and Byron chose the beautiful property of The Regent Palms. Everything turned out perfectly, a great afternoon with a blue sky and a few clouds marked the start of a great marriage. The ceremony took place on a very quiet Grace Bay beach where family and friends enjoyed this very special occasion.

It was great to see the sunset and capture some beautiful images while Anne and Byron were enjoying a couple of glasses of champagne, can it get any better? ;-)

Cassandre and Rodney’s Wedding Day

Friday, October 9th, 2009

lavard-007firstYou might remember Cassandre and Rodney from their engagement session that I put on our blog in August this year.

Well on October 3rd 2009 we met again to capture their wedding day. So lucky the wedding day was not one day earlier because the weather would have been just a bit different! but this day ended up just being perfect. Over 100 guests attended their special day in the beautiful Gansevoort Resort right on the beach. There was a pink theme, many wedding details, gorgeous flowers and more. On the beach, while I was taking photos, some people asked me if this was a celebrity wedding, it sure looked like it and I told just told them yes :) (more…)

Custom Artwork for your wedding or special moment.

Saturday, October 3rd, 2009

brepaintingfrntFor several years now we have had the capability to turn a photograph into custom art work. Whilst the technology exists to do this “with the push of the button” our process is not automated, but relies on the skill and hours of work of our highly trained staff  (Krystin). Using the Corel software Painter she literally move the actual pixels in the image to create amazing works of art. (more…)
