The site of the new greenbuild studio is on my drive to work (all 8 mins of it!) and out of the corner of my eye as I have been driving along I’ve seen the progress this week as the concrete block has arrived and some pipes and rebar seemingly are popping up above the building hoarding. However, nothing prepared me for the progress the Projetech team had made when I visited the site yesterday afternoon.
These pictures are exactly one week after the last post. It’s amazing to see what they have done – it’s just like being on the site of an “extreme makeover” !! It’s also amazing to start to see the rooms take shape and visualize actually being in them…wow!
The front door !
Here I am standing at the bottom of the stairs that will go up and to the left to the second floor.
This is the main open-plan office space downstairs looking from the reception area.
This where the main corridor will run from the office space down towards the studio.
The view from the main office area outside.
A very exciting storage area and computer/server area
A much more exciting showroom – it’s small, but awesome that we’ll have a space just to show our clients their great pictures.
I’m no standing outside the building looking at the back of the kitchen. Kitchen door on the right and the showroom across the corridor at the back.
The studio space with nice big doors and windows to let light in. It’s north-facing.
Can’t imagine what this is going to look like with another level built on top!
OK – had to be a little arty !
A view from on top of the on-site construction huts. Projetech have really kept the site clean and minimized the removal of local vegetation.
You can see the main resorts on Grace Bay in the distance. With the wide angle lens they look miles away, but in fact we can be at the seven stars resort from here in about 2-3 minutes. Really excited about the possibility of doing that journey in an electric car!
Another little arty shot!
Proof of a good construction crew - a clean and tidy build site.
Also the block is really well put together – very clean, not much waste – I’ve seen bad block construction on other sites over the years.
So exciting times, things are really moving along. Projetech and Reliable Construction are doing a great job. I’m also getting emails from Tim at Construction Advisory Services and Ron Shaw at Ron Shaw Artichects about the next few decisions – i.e. door fittings, lighting, the roof – it’s great!
Andy,
what was that comment about the building not being complete until January..?
might need a little wager!
